New repair project: FT-101

I have picked up three Yaesu repair projects from my brother KA5VZE.

The first one is a very early FT-101, manufactured in 1971.  It has a serial number of 7350, which counts as very low.  I originally started working on this radio back in late 2013, twelve years ago.  I diagnosed the original problem as being in the audio board, which had burnt out power transistors.  The transistors may have destroyed other stuff when they blew.

My plan is to build a little test box to work on the audio board outside of the unit.  So I expect to make many blog entries about audio board electronics and also about creating a test board.
